I would like to introduce myself and my company. My name is Ed Ducrest and I am the owner of Qualified Fire Door Services LLC.

I have 20+ years of experience in the Locksmith field: 17 years as a Locksmith Specialist working for the FDIC and several years doing freelance hardware technician services. Additionally, I have been a Certified Fire Door Inspector for the past 9 years. This latest chapter has triggered a passion in me to focus on an often overlooked, yet very important aspect of building safety: Passive Fire Protection. While Active Fire Safety (smoke alarms and sprinklers) is something most people are familiar with, Passive Fire Safety and Prevention is often neglected. Not only it is vital for your physical safety, but it also protects you from financial  losses. Compliance with NFPA80 guidelines can help limit liability and give you peace of mind.
